Starting with these vine stocks, and with the know-how of the previous owner, they planted additional vineyards. In 2006 they built the cellar and began to produce their first bottles. Gelamà is no ordinary winery. History, family warmth and the aroma of wines emanate from every corner of its facilities, farmhouse and vineyards. In 1892, Raimundo de Falgàs began his career in this company, which over time would become one of the most important wineries in Alt Empordà, specialising in the production of cava. The Spanish Civil War marked a new chapter in his career and led to the end of activity in the winery; four generations later, Maria Fernanda Pedret de Falgàs and her son, Roger Rius, have decided to revive the family tradition and relaunch the brand that was so productive in its day.
